Database and Analytics Manager
Location: The World Animal Protection Canada office is in Toronto, ON. We are currently working remotely, however we will be adopting a hybrid working model in the future.
Contract: Full-time permanent
Salary: $85k-$92k CAD

We are seeking a dynamic Database and Analytics Manager to join our team as we work to move the world to protect animals. The office currently has over 660,000 engaged supporters across Canada and revenues of approximately $5 million. This is a dynamic and critical role, responsible for the care and maintenance of all of our database and online systems.
Reporting to the Director of Development and working closely with key members of the fundraising and communications teams, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the tools and technology required by the teams are optimized to improve profitability and promote performance sustainability. Must have between 3-5 years of experience working within the non-profit sector; preferably with an organization that uses a multi-channel approach to fundraising.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ non-profit, database management and Raiser’s Edge experience a must
- Having bCRE certificate an asset
- Working knowledge of donation management tools (e.g. Engaging Networks)
- Experience with JMG Solutions Super Importer Exporter Plugin and/or Import-O-Matic tool an asset
- Ability to configure, customize and/or program APIs an asset
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the development of short-term and long-term strategies via database-related activities, donor analysis and donor segmentation.
- Responsible for ensuring that the systems, tools and technology required by the fundraising team are optimized to improve profitability and promote performance sustainability.
- Maintain oversight over direct reporting ensuring the implementation plans and tactics are grounded in best practice and in line with the overall strategy.
- Manage the bank reconciliation process and ensure the reports are accurate and are on time.
- Compile data and produce reports using Raiser’s Edge.
- In conjunction with the fundraising teams, manage the targeting, segmentation, pre/post data analysis and results reporting of all fundraising campaigns.
- Manage and develop all World Animal Protection Canada online programs with respect to optimizing the systems, tools and technology required to execute the online tactics.
- Regularly create queries using various databases and produce reports for analysis of fundraising data, donor demographics, etc.
- Work with Face-to-Face vendors and help to troubleshoot with the API forms and make yearly necessary changes.
