As our new Donor Acquisition Manager, you’ll be part of the fundraising team and responsible for management of the fundraising acquisition programs for World Animal Protection in Canada. You’ll be empowered to build the regular giving supporter base and contribute towards the acquisition of cash supporters for development appeals. This position plays an active role in the identification, cultivation, solicitation of individual donors and will be responsible to meet budget goals.
This is a virtual working position within Canada, and you'll be required to be in the Toronto office for staff meetings at least twice a year. Some international travel may also be required.

What will you be doing?
Within the scope of the role, you will be responsible for the following:

Duties and Responsibilities

•Delivery of acquisition programs for Online, Face to Face, Telemarketing, Prospect/Direct Response and DRTV.
•In collaboration with the Social Media Manager, plan and implement a digital lead generation program including direct donation appeal advertising and SMS.
•Collaborate with the retention manager to plan direct response acquisition programs.
•Develop and deliver the acquisition program budget.
•Collaborate with other departments on lead conversion (e.g. petition signers to donors) strategies to ensure a seamless supporter experience from recruitment and beyond.
•Ensure acquisition activities are consistent with brand guidelines and maintain and enhance the reputation and positioning of World Animal Protection in Canada.
•Analyze results and deliver accurate and timely reporting, analysis and ongoing monitoring and evaluation of activities.
•Work collaboratively with the retention and communication teams to ensure appropriate onboarding and transfer of donor stewardship.
•Develop content and integrate the Power of Animals comprehensive campaign strategy in content when appropriate.
•Manage agency relationships to ensure KPIs are met within deadlines and budgets.
•Produce accurate and timely rolling forecasts for acquisition programs to ensure budgets are maintained.

Who are we looking for?
Someone who meets the following criteria:

•Significant fundraising experience- minimum of 5 years within a not-for-profit context.
•Fundraising Certificate or equivalent
•Minimum 2 years management experience
•Demonstrated project management skills with ability to develop and implement strategies and assess performance

Essential Key Competencies
•Excellent communication (verbal and written) and analytical skills
•Self-driven to complete tasks with limited supervision
•Results- oriented to achieve goals within the specified timeline
•Able to analyze data and communicate results to others
•Ability to lead and inspire agency team and build strong constructive relationships with other departments and all levels
•Computer literate using Microsoft packages, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
•High-level budgeting experience
•Experience with Raisers Edge database, Engaging Networks, Meta Ads Manager
•CFRE Designation
• Member of AFP
•French language skills
•Knowledge of animal welfare issues
•Knowledge of Canada Revenue Agency Charities Directorate resources
