You will also collaborate with our international teams to align Canadian legislative efforts with global policy goals.

If you have strong lobbying experience, a deep understanding of Canadian government processes, and a passion for animal welfare, this is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact.

Who are we?
World Animal Protection is the global voice for animal welfare, with 75 years’ experience campaigning for a world where animals live free from cruelty and suffering.
We have offices in 14 countries and work across 47 countries and General Consultative Status at the United Nations. We collaborate with local communities, the private sector, civil society and governments to change animals’ lives for the better. Our Canadian office is a member of the National Farm Animal Care Council (NFACC).

Our goal is to end animal cruelty and suffering for both wild and farmed animals. Through our global food system strategy, we’re working to transition away from intensive animal agriculture and create a more humane and sustainable food system. Through our global wildlife strategy, we are transforming the broken systems that fuel exploitation and commodification to give wild animals the right to a wild life. By taking a One Health, One Welfare approach and presenting science-based, practical and sustainable solutions, we demonstrate how animal welfare can help address some of the biggest global challenges including the climate and biodiversity crisis and public health crises (eg; pandemic/disease risks, antimicrobial resistance and diet-related diseases).

What can we offer you?
