Head of Individual Giving – Maternity Cover
Type of contract: Fixed-Term Contract – up to 12 months

Salary: The starting salary is £50,498 per annum, with the possibility of up to £54,826 based on an assessment of skills and experience at the interview stage

At World Animal Protection, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Individual Giving (Maternity Cover) to lead our UK Individual Giving team during a key period for our fundraising growth and innovation. This pivotal role will oversee the delivery of our individual giving portfolio, ensuring we maximise income, strengthen supporter engagement, and provide an outstanding donor experience.
Reporting to the Fundraising Director, the Head of Individual Giving will manage a talented team responsible for Regular Giving and Cash Giving, including new product development and donor retention journeys. The successful candidate will bring proven expertise in developing and delivering integrated fundraising strategies across digital, Direct Mail, and DRTV channels, supported by a data-led and supporter-first approach.
This is a leadership position, ideal for someone with a strong track record of income generation, excellent people management skills, and the ability to inspire innovation in fundraising products. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation and with external partners, the postholder will play a key role in shaping and sustaining our fundraising success while championing our values of courage, accountability, inclusivity, and global collaboration.
