Global Head of People and Culture – The Role
Our talented people around the world are the reason we can deliver our mission and have impact for animals. To drive forwards our ambitious plans, we are looking for a Global Head of People and Culture with relentless drive who can support the organisation as we move into a new strategic period.
Having an aligned and positive high performing culture is vital to us in delivering our best to protect animals. Working closely with the Global Director of People and Culture, you will lead strategic initiatives to deliver HR aspects of our People Strategy with the aim of transforming World Animal Protection into a first-class employer. These will include ensuring we have the systems in place so our people feel valued and supported around the world through development and performance management.
You will provide leadership and strategic direction to an excellent HR team. They will look to you to help coach and guide them into a strategic operating space so they can support the organisation’s goals as we start our new strategy.

Global Head of People & Culture – Requirements
- You are a strategic leader, with an OD approach to people and systems
- A fantastic communicator who is experienced in change leadership
- Experienced in building strong connections and relationships around our global organisation
- Technically experienced and able to advise the organisation and your team on all HR matters
- A strong commitment to the ethos of our organisation
- You will understand the importance of organisational values and behaviours and be experienced in embedding them at all levels and processes
- Ability to work with a global mindset in order to achieve outcomes for global strategy
- Experience of driving a diversity and inclusion agenda
- Proven project management experience
